Translating to “The Birthplace of Kings” Cuna de Reyes pays homage to the humble, but noble town of Nájera where the winery was founded in 1999. Cuna de Reyes prides itself on its daily care of the vines, with careful selection of fruit at harvest time, followed by rest in barrels of “noble wood” from the Rioja region. Winemaker Alfredo Ciria oversees the entire production of Cuna de Reyes wines. When he is not working behind-the-scenes, you will find Alfredo out in the field, where he believes that the heavy-metal music blasting from his tractor is the real “secret” behind the growth of Cuna de Reyes grapes!
