Loupart’s wines got their start with their Sauvignon Blanc de Loire. The wine is crafted by the highly-talented Thierry Merlet, who returned home to the Loire Valley after honing his skills in wineries in Australia and Oregon. The modern winemaking approach Thierry learned abroad is blended with the old-world culture of the Touraine region of France to produce this truly excellent wine. This Sauvignon Blanc is made from a hand-picked selection of vines 65 years and older. It is an intense, complicated wine that owes its complexity to grapes being picked at various stages of maturity, ensuring a full spectrum of flavors once it reaches the palate.
