SchöneTal Cellars

(pronounced “Sch-u-na-tahl” meaning beautiful valley), is a small producer of Pinot Noir. They work with two vineyards, Meredith Mitchell (McMinnville AVA) and Hirschy (Yamhill Carlton AVA). Meredith Mitchell Vineyard has always been one of my favorites and Hirschy is becoming one. The wines are made in tiny quantities from just a few blocks each year and the winery has been earning quite a reputation recently. These are wines of exceptional balance and depth.
