I am not exaggerating when I say that Patrick Uccelli is one of the most interesting people I have met in the last 5 years. In 2008 he and his wife, Karoline, founded Tenuta Dornach and converted the family's vineyards to Biodynamic farming. Karoline is a biologist and takes care of the plants and agriculture and Patrick takes of the cellar. They have 2ha of vines comprised mostly of Pinot Bianco, Pinot Nero, and Merlot and begun to focus on PiWi varieties as well. They produce 10,000 bottles of wine per year so there is not much to go around, but we will bring as much as we can every year. Their wines are incredibly pure and fresh. We simply had not come across anything like them before. These are wines that you do not want to miss.
